Job Description

Work from your home after a two month training period at our center. Home Agent-Customer Service Representatives positively and professionally respond to customer contacts received from a variety of sources providing complex or technical customer service. PC and high speen internet service required.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Identifies complex or technical problems, assesses needs, or sells products. Diffuses anger, shows empathy, troubleshoots, probes, and engages in active listening. Occasionally contacts other departments, clients or outside agencies supplying or seeking information.
• Responds to customer contacts received via incoming calls, Internet, email or white mail in a professional manner to meet or exceed client expectations.
• Researches answers from tools provided or background knowledge. Analyzes customer’s needs or issues and selects course of action from many alternatives.
• Adapts responses to customers with minimal scripting available. Handles a variety of problems, questions, or situations following established criteria. Operates with discretion within defined parameters.
• Accurately data enters customer’s information for processing of orders and literature requests.
• Attends on-going training meetings to properly update skills and information.

Minimum Job Requirements

• Eligible to work in the US
• High School Diploma or GED
• Quiet and Professional home work environment free from background noise and interruptions
• Must be able to train for an estimated 4 - 6 weeks in the Peoria, Il or Waterloo, IA area before transitioning to a home-based position
• Windows XP (any version) or Vista (Premium or Business only)
• 2.0 Ghz or better Processor
• 512MB RAM or better
• Sound Card
• 40GB Hard Drive
• Monitor
• Antivirus Software with updated virus definitions
• Reliable, high-speed, broadband internet service such as DSL or Cable.
• Router (approximately $40) for firewall security while accessing AFFINA's network
• A corded, hands free full duplex PC headset with noise-canceling microphone and USB connection is required (approximately $30 - $50)
